Bartłomiej Gawin graduated from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at Gdansk University of Technology and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdansk. He has also completed postdiploma studies in the design and operation of computer networks at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Toruń Nicolaus Copernicus University. He deals with issues of modern techniques and tools for designing, simulating and analyzing business processes and workflow systems.

Bartłomiej Gawin is the author of Business processes simulations. BPMS and BPMN standards in practice book and also wrote many scientific publications – in Polish and English. His papers have been presented and published at many conferences – including international events: BIR and AIS SIGSAND Symposium. He writes articles for the 4pm.pl portal and lectures at GigaCon conferences – dedicated to IT companies. He has actively participated for 14 years in projects regarding to the development, implementation and use of business applications, workflow tools and analytical techniques like BI and process mining. He has the professional experience in the following sectors: telecommunications, IT and facility management.
